Concussion Policy
Rider safety is non-negotiable. If a head knock happens, we follow this policy β no exceptions.
If in doubt, sit them out.
Any rider with a possible concussion must stop immediately. No return that day.
What is concussion?

- Blurred vision
- Acting differently
Symptoms may appear later β keep watching the rider for 24β48 hours.
What will happen at the track
- Rider is removed from the track immediately
- Medical advice is sought β NHS 111, GP, or A&E if serious
- Parent or guardian is informed

Early recovery
- Rest for 24β48 hours β both body and brain
- Return to normal daily activity (school first) before any sport

Final decision

Important
- Always report head knocks β to a coach, official, or the Welfare Officer
- Do not ignore or hide symptoms
- Follow the return-to-riding pathway fully
Any rider with a suspected concussion will not be allowed to ride until this process is completed.
