A friendly, accessible BMX club in Addlestone, Surrey — welcoming riders of all ages and abilities for racing, coaching and community.
Our Story
Runnymede Rockets BMX Club has a long history in BMX racing, with roots stretching back to the early days of the sport in the UK. Based at Brackendene Open Space in Addlestone, Surrey, the club has grown from a small group of passionate local riders into one of the most welcoming BMX communities in the South of England.
In recent years the track was fully rebuilt by world-renowned track builder Clark & Kent, creating a modern, safe and exciting circuit that challenges riders at every level — from absolute beginners completing their first lap to elite racers competing at national and international level.
We offer BMX riding, coaching and racing to all ages and abilities. There is no age limit and no experience necessary — if you can ride a bike, you are good to go. Our coaching groups run every Saturday and are structured to bring out the best in every rider, whether you are a nervous first-timer or a seasoned competitor looking to sharpen your gate technique.
Runnymede Rockets is affiliated with British Cycling and competes in club, regional and national BMX racing events throughout the season. The club is proud to have produced riders who have gone on to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
The Track
Our track sits at Brackendene Open Space, Addlestone Moor, just off Junction 11 of the M25. Rebuilt by Clark & Kent — one of the most respected BMX track designers in the world — it features a timing hill, rhythm sections, berms and jumps designed to develop riders at every stage.
The track is equipped with Sqorz Mylaps timing, recording gate and hill times automatically via transponder at every session. The track is open to the public outside of club sessions.

Structured coaching every Saturday in groups 1–4, from complete beginners to advanced racers. Expert coaches with decades of BMX experience.
BMX Racing
Club races, gates sessions and open practice throughout the season. We compete at regional and national British Cycling events.

No age limit, no experience needed. We welcome riders of all backgrounds, abilities and ages — BMX is for everyone.
